• This 11-hour course is for domestic helpers who care for your babies and young children. The course covers Child Care, First Aid & CPR and is held in a real home so that all safety scenarios in your helper’s exercises are in realistic situations.
• Yvonne Heavyside, a qualified First Aid & CPR Instructor (NSC), has been teaching child care courses both in Hong Kong and the UK for many years. She is a health visitor, nurse, lactation consultant and mother of 3 with 30 years experience and she set up this 11 hour course at the request of many of her clients.
• Topics covered will include: Effective Communication; Learning through Play; Basic Baby Care; Common Childhood Illnesses; Weaning; Potty Training; Injury Prevention & Home Safety; First Aid, Choking Care & CPR. What to do in an emergency such as a fire will also be taught.
• Handbook provided. Test and certificate on completion. Feedback to employer on request.
